Quest Item

plain ribbon quest item remnant2 wiki guide 200px
This soft ribbon slides pleasingly between your fingers. It is made of some fabric that is neither silk nor velvet but maintains the pleasurable feel of both.

Plain Ribbon is a Quest Item in Remnant 2. Quest Items are used to unlock or advanced through certain quests or main story quests, as well as unlocking and discovering certain areas. Key Items are specifically found in specific areas of a Location, given by NPCs or looted from Enemies and Bosses.

The Fae are not monsters, whatever the One True King may say of us. We laugh. We love. We feast. We sing. Why, we even give ourselves in marriage. We are life lived to the full. It is only that, for some, that is more than they can bear.

How to Use Plain Ribbon in Remnant 2

Plain Ribbon is used in Losomn Fae Palaces, on The Statues Event random injectable.

You need to interact with the statue to put the Plain Ribbon on its hands.

How to Find Plain Ribbon in Remnant 2

Plain Ribbon will be found in any Fae Palace location of Losomn where the The Statues Event has been injected.

It will be on the ground, next to a randomly placed body:

    • I placed the ribbon on the statues, and a few minutes my game crashed (not related to the ribbon, it's been crashing for me a ton). When I reloaded, nothing was on the statue and I no longer had the plain ribbon in my inventory.

I'm currently messing with my backup saves to see make sure I'm not just missing something, but in the meantime you may want to restart the game and backup your save before doing the ribbon stuff.

There is no need to kill Faelin/Faerin for this event.

Reward is based out of what zone the statues event spawns in. Light world areas like Gilded Chambers and Council Chambers with this event will reward the Golden Ribbon. Dark world areas like The Great Hall and Shattered Gallery will reward the Silver Ribbon.

In either one, locate the statues and Plain Ribbon in the zone, and leave the ribbon on the statues. Exit and re-enter, or checkpoint refresh the zone and return to the statues to acquire the amulet.

If you forgot where the statue was in your game, the area it spawns on the map look like a lightbulb with the top 25% cut off surrounded by a small rectangular bit covering 3 sides, almost like a mini lightbulb in a big socket. I've found the statues in both the Shattered Gallery and Great Halls.

feeding this into the nightweaver's web grants a random? relic (not sure if some of these are static. in my case i got a cooldown relic increasing the effect from 2.2%ish to just shy of 4%, will try again next time i get that spawn)

To get the silver ribbon, put the plain ribbon on the two statues in a dark map
To get the gold ribbon, put the plain ribbon on the two statues in a gold map

              • "To change the world state you will need to reach the Lever on the gold/black circle."

What the heck does this mean? What gold/black circle?

When I encountered them I was told to find evidence of who killed the king. I went thru a mirror and found a dagger in the back of the kings neck. If you inspect it you’ll find an emblem. The emblem matches the symbol under one of councilors throne if you accuse the right person you will be given the golden ribbon if you accuse the wrong one you’ll be given the silver. I’m also aware that if the king spawns on you’re play thru killing the gold king will give you the gold ribbon

                    Based on other comments:
                    - Kill Faelin/Faerin and collect to get Golden Ribbon
                    - Leave and re-enter to get Silver (Just tried and it worked)

This is wrong when i killed fealin (golden side) i got the golden ribbon so the silver ribbon must be fearen

Now i have to reroll the world again to get the one i want crap

This page is incorrect. I killed Faelin and returned to find the Gold Ribbon, not the Silver Ribbon as this page says. On another note, my first time through I didn't fight either, I only fought the Crimson King, and returned to find the Gold Ribbon then too.
